TRAINING
In order to provide "top-notch" service to the community and remain abreast of constant evolving technology, our pre-hospital care volunteers and employees must attend and complete continuing education classes, skill re-certification testing, and new equipment training, as required. This training typically requires a person to dedicate many hours of time, on top of hours that may already be dedicated for volunteering, to complete these requirements.
To aid in this, Duncannon EMS (DEMS) instituted an in-house ongoing training initiative. Fees for these classes are covered by DEMS for all active volunteers with our organization and most are open to anyone who would like to attend from outside the company.
