Annual Subscription
Even
though we wish that everyone could stay healthy or never get hurt, we all know
this just does not happen. Subscribing to Duncannon Emergency Medical Services,
Inc. covers emergency treatment and transport to a hospital. It also covers the
cost of Advanced Life Support (paramedics) by West Shore Advanced Life Services,
Inc.
As a
subscriber of our services, we will accept your insurance company's payment and
will not bill you for the balance of the bill. If you do not subscribe, you will
be responsible for the remainder of the bill or the total bill if no
insurance payment is made.
This
is an example of an average trip on the ambulance with ALS attending: Ambulance Cost: $900 Paramedic Cost: $800 Total: $1,700

We were dispatched to over 1000 emergency calls last year and are
responsible for standing-by at many local school activities and
community events. Unlike other ambulance companies, we receive only minimal municipal funds to support our operation. We rely on revenue from billed ambulance calls, fundraisers, and subscription funds from you.
